MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, I’m Elijah! I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Columbus State University (2024) with a focus in illustration. Much of my work, across various mediums, reflects my experiences and life story growing up as a transgender person.

 

Being transgender is an integral part of my identity and affects every day of my life. From self-injections to the overwhelming negativity and debate surrounding my existence, being trans is a constant battle I and many other transgender people must fight to maintain our right to happiness. Much of my artwork seeks to offer viewers a look into the realities and struggles that trans people face. I want to offer a brief yet meaningful step into my shoes and hope to shift at least one person’s negative view of transgender topics into one of understanding.
